Katz founded The Plastic Bank, a store where everything is available for purchase with plastic. Discarded plastic can be used to pay for school tuition, WiFi, cell phone minutes, and more. This plastic is then sold and reused by other companies in their manufacturing processes. It’s adding more value to plastic and closing the loop on this circular economy.
